STANDAR PROGRAM
The Standard Program is a four-week academic program with eighty hours of Spanish classes. During this period the students advance through one level of Spanish: Basic, Intermediate or Advanced.
For the same price, students can take the course in Ecuador’s capital city of Quito or on the beautiful beaches of the coastal city of Manta.
All classes start on a specific date. The 2012 sessions are scheduled for the following dates:

• May 7 – June 1
• June 4 – June 29
• July 2 – July 27
• August 6 – August 31
• September 3 – September 28
• October 1 – October 26
• November 5 – November 30
• December 5 – December 30
The program fee is $250, which covers 80 hours of Spanish classes. Students will be provided with learning materials at no additional cost: 5 grammar exercise books and 3 reading books.
Space is limited so be sure to register early.
We use the most modern and our teachers well trained and use all the tools necessary to make classes entertaining and educational. The readings used at each level relate to daily life in Ecuador and to the Ecuadorian lifestyle.
Upon completion of the Standard program, students will have achieved an advanced level of Spanish. The majority of our students in this program are able to complete all their Spanish credits and requirements at their home universities, which undoubtedly represents a significant saving on their college education.
Students have the option to live with a host family or in the school’s volunteer residence. The price for lodging in either cases is $15.00 per day, which is not included in the $ 250 that covers the student’s classes. Our accommodations are known for being a friendly, comfortable, and welcoming place for our students to stay.
Spanish School Residencies
For a more independent lifestyle, choose to live in the School’s volunteer residence. The residence is located in an excellent neighborhood near the center of the city. You can live in a single or shared room, each with a private bathroom. You will have access to shared kitchen and living room areas. The residence is shared with other volunteers and students, which means you will meet a lot of new people with whom to share your time and experiences. Friendships are made every day in the residence. Your housing at the volunteer residence includes breakfast.

Cost per day for single room: US$ 20
Homestays
By staying with a host family, you will enjoy the comforts of a private home and immerse yourself in the Ecuadorian life and culture. Our families are carefully selected and love to receive foreign students in their homes. In our host families, you will be welcomed into the home of a new family and invited to share the delicious home cooking, pleasant conversation, and comfortable surroundings. The host family option offers single or double beds, private or shared bathrooms, three meals per day, and laundry service. Houses are typically located within walking distance or a short bus ride to the School and city sites.
