I found the teachers here to be patient, professional and competent. The combination of One-to-One Grammar introduction plus group discussions is perfect to develop conversational skills. I liked the way they rotate teachers, so that learners get exposed to different styles. I highly recommend EQUINOX Spanish School!

“The Spanish classes in this Spanish school were awesome! They enabled me to easily follow my Spanish studies into university. Besides the Spanish classes, which were very interesting, I learned a lot with about the Ecuadorian culture and life. I really enjoyed the months I spent learning Spanish in the school; the knowledge I came away with helped me during my travel around Ecuador. The time I spent with an Ecuadorian family was an experience I will never forget. Studying a foreign language such as Spanish was never that easy for me, but it was not hard work, and it was fun to have these great classes and practicing the language afterwards while exploring the country. After two weeks I felt very comfortable speaking Spanish. Exploring such a beautiful country and being able to talk to Ecuadorians has turned out to be one of my most favorite experiences. I want to thank my teachers from EQUINOX who helped me to immerse into the Spanish language very quickly.”

The Spanish School offers a great opportunity for students to learn Spanish and gain a glimpse of Ecuadorian life. I spent 3 months in the program, and by the time I left Quito, my Spanish was fluent. The teachers are great and friendly. There are also some great travel and volunteer opportunities. Also, I never felt unsafe. Just like any other big city, you just need to know which areas to stay away from. I highly recommend the program to anyone who wants to learn Spanish or gain an appreciation for life in a lesser developed country. My Spanish studies at the EQUINOX Spanish school have enriched my professional, academic and personal lives. After several weeks instruction, I travelled throughout Ecuador and the rest of South America equipped with the necessary Spanish language skills to successfully navigate these fascinating Ecuador. I was not only able to communicate in normal day-to-day situations, I was able to actually meet people and have real conversations. This experience marked a turning point in my life as I subsequently have pursued Latin American educational and professional opportunities. Whether your objective is professional/academic or communicating with Spanish speakers, I am confident you will find all this and more at the Spanish School EQUINOX.

I had a great experience in Equinox Spanish School . I took the dynamic option, with which I could set my own schedule according to my work and other plans. With about 8 hours a week my Spanish advanced rapidly in 3 months (of which before I spoke almost no Spanish) so the course are highly recommended.

Spanish classes with Equinox Spanish School have been very useful for me while being in Ecuador . I took classes for about 3 weeks and have improved my grammar and have learned certain rules in Spanish writing that I didn't know before. The School also helps you to get acquainted with others students and the teachers who are very helpful with any question you may have. La experiencia fue maravillosa.

I've had the time for my life here in Quito . I made new friends from Clemson and new friends from Ecuador too. I was nervous about being away from home and my family for a month, but all of the activities and people here became a temporary family for me. Living in a Spanish country was more help for me than Spanish classes back at Clemson. I love the culture here ( Ecuador ) and I haven't regretted coming at all. The site visits were great they taught me a lot about life and culture here.

The classes were great too – the size of the classes and material covered were a great help. I would highly recommend studying abroad with Ximena in Quito !

Everyone was very friendly. I really enjoyed Spanish classes and learned a lot at school and from the site visits. My living accommodation was very nice and my host family took very good care. Ecuador itself is a beautiful country and I would certainly recommend this program.

I'm so happy I came in this program. Equinox is a great school; all the teachers were so nice and really knew how to teach the language. I feel like I am very knowledgeable of the country. I wouldn't change and of our site visits.

Comparing this abroad experience with my other abroad and experience in Barcelona , I feel that my cultural experience and the amount I've learned here has by far surpassed what I learned in 4 months in Spain . Ximena did a wonderful job (as did Cesar and staff here)! This has been my best experience in college. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to come.
