La Selva Jungle Lodge

We are a very family friendly jungle lodge convinced that the encounter we offer at our Ecotourism Lodge, La Selva, is unique in the entire world. We have been refining our skills toward providing this ultimate experience, deep in the Amazon rainforest, in its friendly Amazon Jungle, since 1986, even before the dawn of ecotourism.

Packages, as the Spanish program that includes 20 hours of academic Spanish lessons: 16 hours during the trip and 4 hours in Quito before the departure or after the arrival. We will take you to the heart of our Amazon jungle lodge that will fill you with wildlife sightings, trekking and recreational activities such as kayaing and  piranha fishing,

Our friendly native staff will become like your own family in no time and join in your festival of marvel and wonder, helping you with your Spanish lessons.   Our motto says it all: “…in the jungle anything is possible…” A real adventure travel event, ecotourism at its finest: living and walking in tan Amazon jungle lodge with the best naturalists and native trackers.

The students will be able to choose two activities per day from the ones listed below, leaving some time to take the Spanish lessons in the lodge.

SAMPLE RANDOM ITINERARY

DAY 1:

Your clients should be at the airport of Quito one hour before the departure time, they will be met by our Representative, who will hand in boarding passes, check suitcases and will give them all the assistance they may require.
The private airline that we use is ICARO, and the flight takes 25 minutes (Quito - Coca)
Follows a 15 minutes transfer in a Chiva (open bus) from the airport in Coca to a private dock.
A motorized canoe will be waiting for the group to take them down the River Napo (2 ½ hours). During the ride downriver a box lunch prepared in the morning will be ready for each guest.
Arrival to LA SELVA dock, our staff will help you carrying your luggage (carry on, as well as camera gear, is guests responsibility.) A complementary welcome cocktail greets them in the bar along with the Naturalist guides.

In the afternoon, you will have four hours of academic Spanish lessons.

Day 2: 

Early wake up call at 6:00 am, breakfast at 6:30 am.
Four hours of academic Spanish lessons.
Two activities in the morning and afternoon or in the morning and evening.
Departure for the excursion 7:10 am:
The Lunch will be served 1:00 o’clock.
Afternoon: Leisure time until 4:00 pm that is your departure to the next adventure
At 7:00 o’clock, Dinner
Night Excursion.

Day 3:

Early wake up call at 6:00 am, breakfast at 6:30 am.
Four hours of academic Spanish lessons.
Two activities in the morning and afternoon or in the morning and evening.

Departure for the excursion 7:10 am:
The Lunch will be served 1:00 o’clock.
Afternoon: Leisure time until 4:00 pm that is your departure to the next adventure or we have prepared as an optional activity, fishing, canoeing, going to the observation tower or simply relaxing.
At 7:00 o’clock, Dinner
Night Excursion.

Day 4:

Early wake up call at 6:00 am, breakfast at 6:30 am.
Four hours of academic Spanish lessons and four hours of Spanish conversation.
Two activities in the morning and afternoon or in the morning and evening.

Departure for the excursion 7:10 am:
The Lunch will be served 1:00 o’clock.
Afternoon: Leisure time until 4:00 pm that is your departure to the next adventure or we have prepared as an optional activity, fishing, canoeing, going to the observation tower or simply relaxing.
At 7:00 o’clock, Dinner
Night Excursion.

Day 5: 

last day: Early wake up to catch the flight back to Quito. Arrival to Quito around noon time.

Four Spanish lessons in Quito before the departure or after the arrival.

The program includes: all meals, visits as detailed, academic Spanish lessons, Spanish conversation, Ecuadorian Taxes, Accommodation.

It does not include personal expenses, tips and transportation. You can either choose to go by bus or by airplane.

The program price is 1080 dollars.
